For my mom's gift this year, I decided to give the Recycled Grocery Tote Bags from MADE a try. (see the tutorial here.) My mom is all about recycling, and being Eco-Friendly, so I thought this would be perfect for her, and because they are so stinkin' cute! So here's my results. Of coarse they are no where as cute as Dana's, but I am still pretty happy about how they turned out! The real major difference is the edges are a zig-zag stitch, since I don't have a serger (tear). And then I also did the bread bag in the brown-tan color. But I tried to keep them pretty close to what she did, because why mess with perfection?

Here's the kids stockings I finally finished! Just in the knick of time...it's a little bit of random patch work, but I still love how they turned out.
I had to show the back-sides. I just love this fabric!
Just a quick story...This morning while Kadie and Gavin were eating breakfast, Gavin started throwing his food (that's his thing lately. Kadie did it too when she was 1) and so Kadie started saying, "Gavin (she pronounces it "Dafin"), don't throw your food! It's naughty!" When he continued to do so, she said, "Okay Gavin, Santa not comin' now!" I was laughing so hard. I think that maybe we have used that on her a little too much this year when she's been naughty. You gotta love them.
I am in love with it! Didn't my husband do an amazing job?? I love having a handy man...
He did wood floors on the bottom floor, and carpet in the rest. The wall paper was quite the task, but I think it turned out pretty well. He also did floor boards, as you can see.
And he did tile in the bathroom! LOVE!
So now, I just have to hurry and finish few things of furniture that I can make! We bought the accessories for the bathroom, but they are all wrapped up, so I'll have to show you them after Christmas when they are "installed". Most of the furniture I'm just going to have to make after, cuz obviously, I don't have much time. I kinda over planned this Christmas. I'm going to be finishing up projects on late Christmas Eve when the kids are asleep. Oh well...it's worth it! (sorry for the bad pictures. I took them last night in the garage.)

I am in love with Andes mints. (they're the same ones that they have at Olive Garden) So these are by far my FAVORITE cookies. I just made some yesterday, and gave them away to neighbors as gifts. They're super easy, and always turn out so pretty! Thought I'd share the love.
Creme de Menthe Cookies:
1/2 cup butter- softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. Andes Creme de Menthe baking chips
2 2/3 cups sifted flour
Mix butter, sugars, baking soda and powder, vanilla, and eggs until well mixed. Stir in the baking chips, and then the flour. Chill in the refrigerator for about an hour. Measure out about 1 oz. of dough. Form into balls. Place on cookie sheet, and slightly flatten. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes. (They will look a little puffy, and kinda like they need to be cooked longer, but just pull them out, and let them set on the cookie sheet for a couple minutes before you move them to a cooling rack. They'll flatten out and be perfectly gooey.)

The painting is done on the doll house. Next...wallpaper! Hopefully we'll be able to get it all up tonight! The husband is kicking himself a little. He wishes he would have painted the stairs and door frames before putting them in. It's been a bit of a pain. And it will be a pain cutting the wallpaper out around them too. Oh well. What's done is done. So wallpaper tonight, and maybe even flooring depending on how much time the wall paper takes. I'm going to mod podge craft paper for wallpaper. I didn't find any wallpaper I loved.
After we get the inside details done, maybe if we have time, we'll do some blue shudders. I love white houses with blue shudders. Classic look.
I'll do another update tomorrow, if all goes well tonight!! Hope everyone's Christmas projects and shopping are coming along well!!

I got my custom onesie that I won from Onesie Wonderland off of Natalie's Sentiments! I LOVE it! I just told her to do a purple one, and do whatever else she'd like on it, and this is what she did! It is so cute and will be so sweet on the baby girl named Jade that is getting this.
(sorry about the bad photos. I wasn't using my good camera...)
I love the ruffle bum! Cute, cute!!
Thank you Karilyn for the adorable onesie!! It's perfect!

Here's another apron...sick of seeing them yet?? :)
I am so excited about some more present I'm making, but so sad that I can't post some of them, or else it will give away some surprises. Oh well. I'll post them eventually. Happy Friday!!

Here's a little doll house update: Jake did the exterior last night. I just had to post it because I get excited with each thing that is done. You guys will probably see a lot of "Doll House Update" posts.
