The Daddy Hospital Survival Kit

After seeing this post, I had decided I wanted to do a Daddy Gift Basket for the husband for the hospital, especially with how wonderful he's been during a rough pregnancy.

And then, I saw this post for the Mommy Hospital Survival Kit. Brilliant!!

So it transformed into the Daddy's Hospital Survival Kit. Because that wait during labor can get BOR-ING!

So here's mine! He has a couple of his favorite magazines for entertainment, his favorite treats including a mini loaf of his favorite homemade poppyseed bread, CAFFEINE, gum and some silly/sweet thank you notes.
Most of them are serious thank you notes, but I had to throw in a few dorky ones. Like this one on the package of Snickers.

This bad boy is going in my hospital bag, and I'll give it to him when we get to the hospital.
I'm bringing an extra big hospital bag just for this. They will think I'm moving in there for a week!
But it's worth it.

that's perfect! I totally needed one of those with both the girls...we had to stay an extra day, so it's good for all the downtime you have!

This turned out so great!! I love all the personal touches, your hubby will love it I'm sure! I wish I would have made one for my hubby with all his favorite things when I was in the hospital, it would have saved us a ton of money From all the trips to the snack machine (and not to mention all the gross hospital food!)

I like that you included Reality in your kit. As writers, sometimes our expectations get a little out of whack, so that's a good thing to keep on hand. Also, Mountain Dew. Please don't forget the Mountain Dew.

LOVE this idea! Thank you for the post! I will have to make one next month for my sweet hubby. Just wondering what all is in there, since I have a hard time being creative and thinking of things to add (especially since I've never had a baby before and don't know what the hubby might want at the hospital). Could you say exactly what all you have in the basket? Thanks!
