Hey everyone!!
I just wanted to share a quick tutorial with you today (with a free pattern).Little Chloe spits up...a lot. And I don't have many burp cloths. So I wanted to make some real quick with items I had on hand in my stash. So I used cotton and fleece I had left over from Ric Rac Recieving blankets.

Supplies Needed:
-9 1/2" x 13 1/2" cotton (at least)
-9 1/2" x 13 1/2" flannel (at least)
-9 1/2" x 13 1/2" flannel (at least)
-burp cloth pattern (download and set on 'Full page print', but make sure the 'Fit picture to frame' is not checked)
-sewing basics
First, print off the PDF pattern (link above)
Fold your cotton fabric in half width wise. Line the marked "fold" on the pattern with the fold of your fabric. (Please excuse the lack of "nice pattern" in the pictures. I used my original hand-drawn one)
Cut it out.
Repeat with the flannel.
Line them up right-sides together.
Pin.
Sew 1/4" from the edge, all the way around, leaving a 3-4" gap at the top of one end of the burp cloth for turning.
Turn right sides out and press.
Top stitch 1/8" all the way around.
Do a second top stitch 1/4" all the way around (if desired. I like the look of it)
And that's it!!
I also did this one with ric rac around the edges! To do that, use the method from my Ric Rac Recieving Blanket tutorial.
Let me know if you have any questions!! And if you make some, add them to my Flickr group!! I'd love to see them!!

PATTERN NOTE: I've just updated the pattern so you should be able to download it. See the link above. If the link won't work for you, let me know and I'll email it to you. But please try the link first. It's so much easier that way, and less time consuming for me. Thank you and enjoy!!!

I love the shape of them, perfect for throwing one over your shoulder. Haley was a big spitter upper (possibly not a word lol) too, and we basically kept a bib on her until she was 11 months old, so I went through a ton of burp clothes. Wish mine looked as cute at these!!
What a cute set of burp cloths!! Thanks for sharing this tutorial!
