Sunburst Pillows

To go to the My Memories Suite giveaway, click here.

Yesterday I had the motivation for a quick sew. So I put together two sunburst pillows from Noodlehead to go on my chairs in my office.
I decided a while back to add a little plum purple in there, so that was the chosen color of the pillows. Love the little "pops" of color.

There's one more thing to check off the list!

Pirate Party

Yesterday we had a pirate party for Gavin's 3rd birthday.

Although I've been planning this party for a while, it literally all got thrown together in one day. I feel like my rope has been pulled a little tight lately. I've gone back to work and been trying to finish some things up before the weather starts getting colder, and about a million other things. I don't mind being busy...just as long as it doesn't interfere with my family time.So here are some highlights of the party. Cupcakes, of coarse! I made the wrappers and the toppers the morning of while watching General Conference.
A flag garland...cut and sewn together the mid-morning of.
Eye patches for the kids, along with treasure maps and "treasures" (obviously not pictured) for a treasure hunt, put together the afternoon of. Gotta love the photo of Gavin doing a very "pirate" thing...digging for treasure!!...nice...

I'm kicking myself for not taking pictures of the food. It was so pretty. Gavin chose breakfast for dinner. It doesn't get better then that.

So there are the basics! It was a fun night!!
