I've been planning this project for quite a while now, and it's finally done!
For months, I was trying to figure out some shelves to do in Gavin's room. I didn't want normal shelves, I wanted something rustic and cool looking. And then I saw
these pallet shelves on
Pinterest. And we just so happened to have some pallets lying around from our sod last summer. (I begged my husband not to throw them away until I figured out something to do with them)

So one fine day, the husband cut up one of the pallets for me!
(Thanks honey!!)

Then
another fine day, I stained them with some left over stain we had from a previous project.

Did a little bit of sanding to rough 'em up a little more, and they were done!!

Temporarily, there are a few random toys stuck at the bottom of them to prop up the picture frames, so I'm hoping to get the hubs to cut some 2x4 blocks out to use instead.

I still need to find some art, maybe a big metal "G" and some cool vintage children books to put in them. But I stuck some random things already in his room just for these pictures. We'll get some permanent things soon...hopefully.

Who else is on board with the pallet obsession going on around the web these days?!
