Wire Nest necklaces

Of coarse I've seen these necklaces everywhere, but for some reason, I never really thought of making one. Until I saw this post. And it made me want to. So I googled tutorials for it, and found a couple. Then ended up just doing it on my own, like Allison did.The one in the center, I did a thicker wire, which I don't mind, but I prefer it a little smaller. And then I used smaller wire (obviously) for the others, but I'm kinda thinking next time I'll try a medium wire.

So there's a little snippet of a recent project. I still have a bunch more to share of everything I've been working on recently, but I need to get pictures of them. I'll do it soon! Promise!!
My birthday was over the weekend, (St. Patty's to be exact), so we were out of town, plus we've had babies being born, which means lots of baby gifts being sewn. More to come on those!!

Quilt for Zoey

I've been working hard this last little while to get this done for my sister's first baby, Zoey. And it's finally finished!! I never realized how time consuming the chevron quilts could be! But it was worth it. I love how it turned out.Hope fully sweet baby Zoey will like it.

Pinspired: Homemade cleaner/Spring Cleaning

I'm getting an early start on my spring cleaning. Figured I might as well do it along with the organizing. So I found a pin on making your own multi-purpose cleaner. It's cheap and of coarse, there's no chemicals!
I've always liked the idea of cleaning with vinegar, but it's smelly. Recently, I saw this pin. You put vinegar in a large jar and add citrus peels. Let it sit for at least 2 weeks, and then pour it in a spray bottle with water. On the post, she did a half/half mixture. I actually did a 2:1 mixture. 2/3 water and 1/3 the citrus/vinegar mixture. It works SO WELL on tough messes! And it doesn't streak! Plus, MAJOR BONUS: It's safe!
Now I've got my jar with lemon peels in it to try next. I love a good lemony scent!
